Naz suddenly has to leave home one morning. He has to escape from his small house in the mountains because the soldiers are coming. On the way, it becomes clear that he will never come back. He is now a refugee on the long journey to London where his sister lives. But unfortunately he has no money and the bus and ship journeys he has to make, are expensive. He meets Krysia who is clever and street smart. Together, they set off for the other side of the world. Naz thinks the trip is as dangerous and exciting as Sindbad’s journeys. Krysia thinks Naz’s stories are really annoying, especially when the two of them have to sew T-shirts at a factory for days in a row so they can make enough money for the next leg of their journey. When they lose each other in an accident at sea, all this does not seem to matter anymore...Will they make it to London? And will London be the paradise that Naz’s sister once described on a postcard?
